TOLAGNARO (Fort
Dauphin)
Built in 1643 and named in honour
of the young Louis XIV, the Fort Dauphin (now called
the Fort Flacourt) enjoys a commanding view of the ocean.
The peninsula’s town centre and the surrounding
region, an isolated area rich in flora and fauna, make
the ideal venue for a range of excursions and forms
an essential part of any visit to Madagascar.
